4 millionth visitor goes International at Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope

Ludmila Brozek, all the way from Poland made history at Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope last Friday, May 25, when she became the Leisure Centre's fourth millionth visitor in just four years of operation.
Ludmila was on her way for a swim and spa with her daughter-in-law from Quakers Hill when it was announced that she was the four millionth visitor to the award winning state-of-the-art facility in Stanhope Gardens.
Ludmila has lived in Australia with family for the last three years for three months of the year, and is a regular visitor to the Leisure Centre during that time.
Mayor of Blacktown City, Councillor Leo Kelly, OAM will congratulate Ludmila on the special moment on Thursday, June 7, and present her with some great prizes.
"Council is very excited to welcome the fourth millionth visitor to Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope. By achieving this milestone, Council has realised its unique vision for the Centre by designing and providing a facility that is a 'people's place', a place to maximise opportunities for community recreation, sport and entertainment," Mayor of Blacktown City, Councillor Leo Kelly, OAM, said.
The fourth millionth visitor celebrations top off a great four years for the Leisure Centre, which has been recognised with 16 industry and community awards including the prestigious Aquatic and Recreation Institute National Facility of the Year 2006.
Since opening its doors, the Leisure Centre has taken more than 369,400 learn to swim enrolments and over 9,360 Health and Fitness exercise classes have been conducted. There have also been over 213 catering bookings, 4,933 facility bookings and more than 1500 school events!
