‘Live Life’ at Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope’s Seniors Week Seminar

'Live Life' at Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope's FREE Exercise and Longevity seminar during Seniors Week from 10.30am on Monday, March 12, 2007.
Lead by the Centre's health and fitness professional, Sean Christie; the Exercise and Longevity Seminar will provide Seniors with valuable information on the benefits and importance of exercise to their overall health and wellbeing.
Topics covered in the seminar include; managing type 2 Diabetes, warning signs of hypertension, healthy nutrition and the importance of strength and fitness training for mobility and falls prevention. A morning tea will be provided at the conclusion of the seminar.
Many other events will be taking place across Blacktown City during Seniors Week 2007 including Heartmoves and Yoga sessions at Blacktown Aquatic Centre and a health seminar at Minchinbury Manor.
"Seniors Week is now in its 49th year and Council and local businesses continue to provide a range of entertainment and activities for our City's Seniors," Mayor of Blacktown City, Councillor Leo Kelly, OAM said.
"Council is very pleased to support Seniors Week and I hope that the local Seniors enjoy this year's Seniors Week program, "Mayor Kelly said.
In addition to the Exercise and Longevity Seminar, Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope also offers Health and Fitness classes all year round that are suitable for all ages and all fitness levels. The popular Aqua Aerobics classes run from 9.30am weekdays.
