Sydney’s largest Doll Fair returns to Blacktown City!

Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope will host the Doll Collectors Club of NSW's annual Doll Fair for the fourth consecutive year on Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29, from 10.00am to 4.30pm, cnr Sentry Drive and Stanhope Parkway Stanhope Gardens.

Renowned as Sydney's largest and most popular doll fair, the event will see over 200 collectors and doll makers from all over Australia and New Zealand showcase a wide range of dolls including antique, porcelain, china, modern, fashion, celluloids, composition, cloth and wooden dolls. Visitors will also have the opportunity to have their dolls valued between 12.30pm and 2.00pm each day of the fair for only $2.00.

World renowned doll maker Jan McLean from New Zealand will be returning to the Doll Fair with a selection of her famous dolls for sale at special prices. The Fair, however, is not only doll collectors - teddy bear lovers and miniature enthusiasts will also have plenty to see with stalls dedicated to making your own bears and miniatures.

The annual Doll Fair is presented by The Doll Collectors Club of NSW Inc, an active and inspirational group of doll lovers and collectors, who help raise funds through their doll fairs and events. Over the last 25 years the Club has raised over $420, 000 for charities and this year's Doll Fair will be raising funds for PRAMM (Preinatal Research and Maternal Medicine) based at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney.

"Blacktown City Council is proud to host the largest Doll Fair in Sydney for the forth year in a row. I encourage everyone to come out to Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope and enjoy the range of dolls and teddy bears on display," said Mayor of Blacktown City, Councillor Leo Kelly, OAM.

Admission to the Doll Fair is $8 for adults and $2 for children under 15 years. A two day pass can also be purchased for only $10. A FREE shuttle bus service will run from Rank 741 at Blacktown Railway Station, every half an hour from 9.15am - 4.30pm.
