This is your chance to get a World Ranking! Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope is hosting the inaugural NSW Indoor Rowing Championships from 10am on Saturday, October 10, 2009.
The NSW Indoor Rowing Championship sees competitors racing on indoor rowing machines in the Function Room at Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope.
Races are held throughout the day with a variety of events age categories available to enter, including:
· 2,000m Opens
· 2,000m Schools
· 2,000m Corporate
· Individual 4 minute races
· 1, 000m for Novices
Mixed teams will also be eligible to enter into the 2,000 metre categories with a change over every 500 metres.
All times submitted in the 2,000m categories will be logged online on the Concept2 website; www.concept2.com.au for competitors to compare their results against Indoor Rowers across the World.
The Championships are open to everyone over the age of 13, you don't need to qualify to enter and the event is expected to attract novice and elite Indoor Rowers. The Championships are an integral part of the training and selection for the State indoor Rowing team, which will compete at the 2009 Australian Indoor Rowing Championships in Melbourne on October 24, 2009.
Come and challenge yourself. You will be surprised at the friendly atmosphere and the fun of racing.
