'Shooting Star' makes a Splash at Surfees Swim School

Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope is pleasured to announce the recipient of the 'Surfees Swim School Shooting Star' Award for Term 1, 2009 as four year old, Chloe Pilarski of Beaumont Hills.
The Surfees Shooting Star Award is now an established tradition having first been awarded in 2003. The award recognises a swimmer nominated by the Swim School team who has shown the most improvement and dedication to the development of their swimming skills. The award is proudly supported by Zoggs Australia.
Under the guidance of instructor Bernice Colcomb, Chloe has made great progress with so much enthusiasm to learn whilst having fun.
Proud parents, Mrs and Mr Pilarski, were so excited to learn that Chloe was the winner of the Shooting Star Award.
"Chloe has improved greatly and I would like to personally thank Bernice for her dedication," said Mr Pilarski.
For her efforts, Chloe received a complimentary term of swimming lessons from Blacktown City Council and a fantastic swim pack from official sponsors, Zoggs Australia.
"I am pleased to hear about the difference Surfees Swim School at Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope is making. Learning to swim is a really important skill for children - it literally saves lives", Mayor of Blacktown, Councillor Charlie Lowles said.
Surfees Swim School offers a wide range of learn to swim programs for both children and adults, and the great thing is you can swim all year round in the heated pools.
