Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope endorses the Royal Life Saving Society Keep Watch Campaign.
Keep Watch @ Public Pools aims to eliminate all drowning deaths and reduce the number of near drowning incidences that occur in aquatic leisure centres, public swimming centres and pools.

Poseidon was launched at Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope in November 2007.
Poseiden is Australia's 1st Computer Aided Drowning Detection System.
Using a network of cameras above and below the water surface and specialised software,
the Poseidon system analyses the activity of all swimmers in the pool.
